About Moorgate Vets
Moorgate Veterinary Group is a mixed private practice that has been successfully caring for all animals, small and large in the area for over 50 years. Our friendly and experienced team believes that your pets and livestock deserve the best treatment available from vets that you know and trust. Our team of vets and nurses are available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. To give you additional peace of mind, we have been accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

Bovey Tracey Branch
Originally opened as a branch surgery in the town centre, this surgery has grown considerably over the years and in 1995 we opened larger premises on the edge of town. This is now the main branch of the practice with all small animal operations being performed here, as well as small animal hospitalisation facilities. At this surgery we have our Practice Manager Tracy Laban, plus our team of qualified veterinary nurses, animal nursing assistants and receptionists.

Whilst we don't have dedicated disabled access, our carpark is adjacent to the building, with two low steps into the surgery. The client area is all on one level. Please do ask for help should you need it.
Moretonhampstead Branch
The practice itself dates back to the 20th century. Bob Pigott took the Moretonhampstead practice on in 1960. Ulli Arnold became his partner in 1987 and became sole owner in 1995 following Bob’s retirement. In December 2016 a new partnership was formed between Ulli Arnold and Ashley Rubens. In July 2024 Ashley Rubens became sole director. The Moretonhampstead branch is open all day and is looked after by our branch manager, Debbie Hill, plus our receptionists and animal nursing assistants. This is the centre for our large animal work and farmers often use this branch for collecting drugs, etc., throughout the day.

Christow Branch
This branch opened its doors in 1987 and is our smallest surgery where we only carry out routine appointments, e.g. boosters, during consulting hours, as it is normally manned by the vet alone.
In March 2024, we relocated to a larger premises at Gidley's Meadow. This is still our smallest surgery, we still continue to carry out routine appointments during consulting hours as it is manned by the vet alone.
